Domain at Waco and standout Baylor defensive end TJ Franklin announced their partnership in the #LiveLikeAChampion campaign on Tuesday, marking the first NIL signed by the Domain at Waco.
“Everyone wants to love where they live. For me, that’s here at Domain.” said Baylor defensive lineman TJ Franklin. “I’m excited to work with them on this great partnership.”
TJ Franklin starred in an ad posted to Domain’s social media account as well as TJ’s Instagram. The 45-second video serves as a great step in the building of Franklin's personal brand, while bringing thousands of new eyes to Domain's living community and the new scholarship giveaway they are running through leasing season.
"We are beyond excited for this partnership with Progage and TJ. We cannot wait to see the results from this campaign!" Jordan Craft, Leasing and Marketing Team Leader.
Deals like the one inked between Franklin and the Domain are a part of a larger movement within the business of college living communities. TJ’s deal represents more than just another NIL deal, but a shift in the way that complexes are marketing themselves to prospective tenants.
“Before NIL, I saw students flock towards the living communities that were known for having athletes. There very much exists a ‘cool factor’ that students want to be a part of,” commented Mitch Mason, Senior Project Manager at Progage. “The communities that house athletes are always expected to be the best places to live…the ones with the most memorable experience as a college student.”
Specifically for Domain at Waco, the campaign represents a chance to spread the word about the $10,000 scholarship being offered as a potential perk for signing up for a new lease.
Not only will students be more likely to check out Domain at Waco thanks to the scholarship offer, but the organization expects to fill their few remaining leases faster than in previous years.
As schools continue to grow and expand their student-body, there is more and more competition in the housing market. Franklin’s deal with Domain at Waco highlights one of the most effective tools that organizations have in standing out from their competition.

Progage came to life in early 2021, when NFL football player Kaden Smith and entrepreneur Kyle Fenner came together to create a sports marketing agency focused on helping brands win via creative storytelling and social media marketing.
